Suspended Timber Upper Floor with Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating installed on top of the sterling board, which is screwed down into the joists before battens are fitted on top. The 'wet rooms' have Lewis Plate laid onto the joists to aid rigidity of the floor before a wet concrete screed is poured. The Lewis Plate is not used for transferring the heat. The next step in the remainder of the floor is to use a dry sand and cement mix packed around the pipes up to the top of the battens before the chipboard flooring is laid. The wet rooms can be tiled directly onto the concrete.
