iCon Intelligent Control Underfloor Heating System and Domestic Hot Water

Hot water is pumped from the boiler round the primary pipework towards the underfloor heating circuit where it passes through a four port mixing valve, and is then circulated to the underfloor heating manifolds. The water passes through the individual floor circuits; flow being regulated by individual room thermostats controlling actuators on the manifold. Using inputs from a water temperature sensor and an outside air sensor the water temperature is maintained at optimum levels via the 4-port mixing valve. No seasonal temperature adjustment is necessary by the end user. This system uses intelligent, self-learning thermostats and sensors that all 'talk' to each other. Each room has its own individually programmable thermostat for both time and temperature settings. The result is that each of the rooms is far more precisely controlled, avoiding thermal overshoot that can be associated with set-point thermostats. This arrangement provides the most energy efficient control system available with a conventional boiler.
