Underfloor
Heating Pipes Installed Between the Joists
Comparing
this photo with the other underfloor heating in suspended timber
floor photos would be a bit like playing 'Spot the Difference'
because on the surface, there's very little difference at all.
The vital difference is below what you can see here. For a new
build there would be no reason to choose this method of constructing
a suspended timber floor because it is more labour intensive
than the normal suspended
timber floor method. It is only used for existing suspended
timber floors, and even then it is not always feasible because
it involves more joinery work and random notching of the joists,
which might require reinforcement to take the additional floor
loading.
Please
see the between
the joists floor construction diagram for IMPORTANT
INFORMATION before pursuing this option.
