This diagram shows the components and routing for a project where underfloor heating is being added to an existing radiator system. This is particularly relevant when building an extension or conservatory comprising underfloor heating. The two systems are controlled and pumped separately using the zone valve and boiler pump as shown. The radiator circuit might be heated twice per day but the underfloor heating operates continuously. The four port mixer reduces the water temperature to the underfloor circuit. The underfloor heating temperature can be controlled automatically or manually to suit each application.
