This technique is ideal for hardwood floors floated on a concrete base. Floor battens
are build in a framework onto the concrete. The space between the battens is infiled
with high density extruded polystyrene insulation onto which the pipes are attached. A concrete screed is poured around the pipes and the final floor is laid on top attached to the battens.
